Someone I know is potty training a 9/10month old.

It seems really odd to me, but that doesn’t mean its wrong, Maybe they’re on the money and we’re wrong for doing it a lot later.. I just can’t understand how you can teach a baby who can’t walk, let alone crawl to take himself to the toilet.

What do you think about it? Have you potty trained early?
I also think i’m too lazy to try that young.

My daughter turned 3 this past October. We are trying to get her potty trained and nothing is working. She used to be in daycare and they tried there as well, and she has no interest. We have tried rewards, books, putting dolls on the potty, letting her keep the potty in different rooms, and she just won’t do it. She cries if we try to put underwear on her instead of a diaper. Pull ups don’t work and are a waste of money. We get different opinions from doctors. She had kidney reflux when she was a baby and has since grown out of it, but the Urologist says don’t pressure her because it’s not good for her to hold it in. (Which she would do all day at daycare when she did wear underwear. I would pick her up and she hadn’t spoiled her pants all day). Her pediatrician said she will just do it when she’s ready, where as the nurse practitioner seemed to think she should really be going. And of course, everyone else that we know of that has kids apparently potty trained them when they were 2 years old! (Not sure if I always believe them! Do you have any suggestions? I know she is physically ready, but if she really doesn’t want to do it yet, should I just wait? I don’t want her to think the potty is a bad thing!! Thanks!
