She has no desire to potty. The kids around her are all potty trained and she doesn’t care. I tried stickers they don’t work. I also give her candy now so to bribe her with that won’t work either. I need some advice, some real true life experienced advice.

We’ve been working on potty training my daughter. She’s 2 years and 9 months old. She’ll use the potty only occassionaly. At school, they take her to the potty on scheudle and she’ll usually use it two or three times. But each time they take her, she has a wet or dirty diaper.

She shows no real interest in being potty trained or using it at home. We even tried to reward her (with stickers she can place on a calendar each time she uses it, or even with candy). But when we ask her, she’d rather not have the candy if it means using the potty.

We even tried putting “big girl” underwear on her. She has never really cared if she gets wet or has a poopy diaper. It doesn’t ever bother her unless it gives her a rash.

We’re running out of ideas. We got books and videos to show her on using the potty but she has little interest.

Thanks for your tips.
I do need to point something out to all of you who may have missed the point….

My wife and I both work all day. While we’re at work, she’s at daycare. We can’t put underwear on her for school if she’s not potty trained. She has to wear pull ups because they’re easier for her to take on and off.
The school requires that she be in a diaper or pull up until she is potty trained.

Besides, she can’t move up into the next class (3 year olds) until she is completely potty trained.

So far, I think we’re doing ok…

* She strips down to nekkidness a lot.

* If she’s still wearing her pull- ups, she takes it off after she pees.

* We have a potty in the livingroom for her and anytime she starts to piddle on the floor, I scoop her up and sit her down on it (it’s usually too late, by then, lol) She does sit on her potty a lot and likes it, but she hasn’t done anything in it yet.

* Today, she pooped in her pull- up and I put it in her potty for her to see and clapped my hands in celebration, pointing out to her where it was. Then I emptied it in the toilet and let her flush it (she likes that)

What else should I try? I saw some ideas about reward charts on other questions, but what are some ways to GET her to use it to begin with?

Thanx.
