I personally found pull ups a waste. My daughter was insistent they were diapers. Eventually I just let her run around in panties and wet on herself. (gross, I know but she hated it) She was potty trained in 2 days. I’d try the gerber pants if I had a choice. Pull ups if you have to leave the house.

When training at night, buy adult incontinence pads from a medical supply store. You won’t be washing sheets constantly. This worked quickly for us to but goes back to her hating to wet herself.

I personally prefer the gerber training pants with rubber pants over them. Pull ups are great for night time, and when you go out though too. my kids always seemed to notice more when they went in the training pants than in the pull ups. I think they see it more of an “accident” in the underwear than in the pull up, which feels pretty much like a diaper (I assume :)
    Good Luck!

My daughter is 17 months, so we’re not ready for that yet. (She does say “doodie” before or after she doodies, so it’s a small step.) However, I would get the Gerber. Not only are they washable and reusable and won’t clog the landfill and cheaper in the long run (the reasons why we use cloth diapers), but I would think they would be more like big kid underwear than something that is like the diapers your baby is used to. Although with that argument, my daughter won’t do well. Eh. We shall see.

pull ups, but either way…very expensive. About a dollar a piece.

We didn’t get either. I let my daughter run naked at home because she was more aware of when she needed to go that way. If I put anything on her, she’d pee like it was a diaper. When we were out, I put a diaper on her until she was completely potty trained. Once she was using the potty 100% of the time, I switched to panties.

However, we used cloth diapers and she is potty trained already at 22 months. It is probably different if you use disposable diapers, because they pull the wetness away from your child better so they don’t feel wet.

I always used pull ups and they were really great.
