Her daycare and I have been working with her for awhile now and she has been going pee & poop in the potty pretty good lately – but a huge issue is – when do I STOP rewarding her for using the potty? Now she wants to go potty ALL the time, even when I know she really doesnt NEED to – because we reward her with gummibears and she LOVES them. So now there have been a couple times where she wants to sit on the potty and force herself to go poop when I doubt she really has to. She gets two gummibears for going poop and 1 for going pee, so when she gets on the potty to go pee, she always decides she needs to go poop too so that she can get TWO gummibears. I just dont know what to do. This morning I was late for work because she insisted on sitting on the potty for 20 minutes when she didnt have to go, but she kept trying so that she could get the gummibears. She will sit on the potty all day if I let her – or she will get up & down, play with things in the bathroom, unroll the toilet paper, flush the toilet repeatedly for no reason, etc. PARENTS – please help, have you dealt with this? I am so happy she is using the potty, but how do I make her understand that using the potty isnt always going to be rewarded and that she is a “big girl” by using it? Also, when she goes in her pull-ups or diapers, I put her into a diaper, but when she uses the potty, she gets to put on a pull-up by herself, so she does get upset when she has to wear a diaper. I dont trust her yet to wear underwear – at what point should I? Please help – any potty training tips would be great!

I do daycare and I have two 2 year olds (boy and girl) whom are potty training. I have completley forgotten how to pottytrain! I keep trying and trying and they wont go. I cant sit in the bathroom allll day (there are others to attend to). Bribery doesnt work with them because I dont think they understand. I am trying to make it fun…but again, nuthins happening! They do however like the idea of sitting there so thats a start. One of the kids…the boy, has an older brother and mom said I could use him BUT he stands….
