My son has always had the option of using the seat that fits on the toilet or his potty chair and has always chosen his potty chair. I didn’t push one over the other, only encouraged him to use what he preferred (in hopes of succeeding in potty training).
I’ve never gagged from changing a diaper or pull up but I’m having a hard time cleaning his potty tray when he’s finished (maybe the pregnant nose?). I want to introduce him to the seat on the toilet and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions, tips, or advice?
Also, when did your boy start standing to pee?
(He’s 2 years and 8 months old and completely potty trained… if the potty chair counts, lol.)

I have a 14 month old daughter, I am not trying to potty train yet, i am just trying to think ahead, and wondering when a good time would be. I hear its easier to potty train girls than it is with boys.
What age did you start?
What method did you use. I know there are toddler lids that you can place on the toilet, or there are the little pottys. which one is best.
How long did it take for your child to “get the hang of it”?

My daughter will tell me immediately after she has gone potty in her diaper but never before. When I set her on her potty she won’t do anything for hours but as soon as I put a diaper on she will go. I don’t know what to do.
