    Do you have pullup nappies?
I’d put a nappie on her incase, you can always take it off for her to go to the toilet.

No diapers. Just go for it.
Make sure you leave *immediately* after she’s gone potty, and take her to the bathroom wherever you go, at every opportunity. She might not go for it, but ask her to try.
Expect an accident, and arrive prepared! (Toss a change of clothes or two — and a plastic bag — in your purse.)

Put her in panties. She will either go in them or go in public. My daughter wouldnt go in public bathrooms for a long time. And the ones that flush automatically forget about those all together. How old is she? Hopefully she will hold it if not bring an extra pair of pants for her. It is a pain but it is how you have to do it. Good luck….

take her potty along. it works better if you have a van or an suv have her to go the bathroom before she leaves the house and then have her go in the car after an hour or two (how ever long she waits to go between times at home) you could also make it fun for her to go on the public potty. be excited and tell her that she gets to chose what potty she is going to use and how its just like the big girls do it! You could also take the potty into the store in a bag or something and have her go potty in the bathroom in the store when you walk in the door if they ask just explain to them! Do not put a diaper or pull up on her if she has been doing good! It might make her revert back to wanting to wear a diaper! Good luck!!

I’m a believer of not letting the children suffer…some adults are just so strict (and I’m a disciplinarian!)…they no longer realize they are projecting society’s expectations and protecting their self-interest rather than their kids. if she isn’t publicly potty trained then you might as well bring a pull up in case she needs to pee. in two hours, she will definitely be peeing in about the same time you are choosing your bread lol. I’d save myself some sanity and let her pee in public toilets when SHE is ready… not when you are ready. coz when she throws a fit for not wanting to sit on a public toilet but needs to pee very badly, the same mothers who will persecute you for putting the nappies onto your child will also give you the stabbing evil stare because you can’t control your child! lol

my potty trained daughter doesn’t really have a prob going to public toilets (actually she enjoys it for some reason, must be that hand dryer!) but we still carry her potty in the van.

She’s probably just very comfortable using her potty, but would suggest that you get a child size potty seat cover for you own toilet and have her begin using it at home and then take it out with you. My friend has one that folds up, but I don’t know where she got it from. Anyway, I attached a link to some examples of disposable one. But she probably wants the comfort of something more her size so her butt doesn’t accidentally slip and hit the water.

my daughter just turned two, and has been potty-trained since 19/20months… we use this (still) when in a public place… for one, its cleaner for her to hold the handles instead of a dirty public toilett… another thing, it fits on ALL toilets and makes sure her little tushie doesnt fall in… and three, she thinks its “cool” to use the big girl potty when we go out… try right before you leave the house, try right when you get to the store… always ask first thing, when you get to a store, where the restrooms are so you can get there fast if your daughter says she needs to go. bring an extra pair of underwear, pants and socks just in case.
things i WOULD NOT do under any circumstances!
    1. DO NOT bring her home potty… this will be a HORRID habbit for a LONG time…
    2. DO NOT put her in a pull up/diaper… this just gives her the right to pee/poop her pants…
    3. DO NOT let her pee on a little potty in your car… POTTY HAPPEN IN THE BATHROOM… and that is the biggest message to get across while potty training!

Good luck! you can do it! but invest in the potette… it folds up small & flat enough to fit into a small bag! its GREAT!

I would have her wear a pull up just in case. Put her back in regular underwear when you get back home. I use to do this with my own kids and they did use the toilet when we were out. The only time I recall wet pullups is when they slept at night. Some people think putting a pullup on a toddler after potty training already started would lead the child to just take advantage of the situation and deliberately go in the pullup. My kids never did that and many other toddlers have not.

Would she sit on a toilet seat meant for toddlers? You just place it over a regular toilet and she should be able to sit comfortably without the worry of falling in. Maybe you should buy one of these for your toilet at home and see how she likes it.
